I was reluctant to watch this due to the lack of common sense in most TV shows these days
Plot
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. It’s loosely based on the 2011-2012 theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup from a storage facility in Quebec; five people were sentenced to prison.
Likeable characters and lighthearted entertainment
But I’m glad I gave it a try. These are 30-minute episodes that are silly, cheesy, funny, dramatic, and engaging.
A few cliffhangers to end the series nicely
I’ve watched all 6 episodes and can’t wait for season 2. I recommend you watch it, and it’s a perfect run that fits perfectly into a half-hour show.
It could have been longer
The French soundtrack is also catchy. I’ll look it up on YouTube music.
